Hotel Anaco in Madrid

This fabulous hen friendly hotel is right in the heart of one of the most glamorous and sophisticated cities in the world. If the bride-to-be and her friends are partial to a bit of shopping, then you'll really struggle to find a better location. Just yards from the Gran Via (packed with global brands, designer outlets and the fabulous Corte Ingles) this area of Madrid is a shopper's paradise with some amazing retail therapy or just OMG window shopping opportunities so close it won't matter how many bags you end up walking back with.

Culture vultures can check out the Principe Gran Theatre, Royal Palace, museums and many of the cities major landmarks. If nights out are your thing (and we're guessing they are) then you're just a hop, slip and glass of sangria from some of the best bars, clubs and restaurants. There's even a metro station (Madrid's underground train network) just 20 metres from the hotel's entrance.

Mornings can begin with a rejuvenating coffee and snack in the café which is open from 8am to 2am. You can then take a stroll through nearby Parque de El Retiro with its trees, gardens and lake. Lunch and simple evening meals are also served in the café although you're spoilt for choice with the number of diners and restaurants all within easy reach. It's also good to know at the end of those nights out your hotel won't be too far away.

Inside the hotel shows some of it's grandeur from when it was one of the city's newest and most splendid hotels, these days it mixes its old charm with contemporary and retro design. The hotel has taken all kinds of design touches and eras and shaken them up into something funky and very fitting of such a fashion-conscious destination.
