The Only Bath Nightlife Advice You Need…

Whilst Bath is not as big as its neighbour, Bristol, it’s still got some amazing experiences to offer to groups.

And if you know exactly where to go, you’ll quickly learn what makes this city our top hen party destination.

So, if we could give you our best Bath nightlife advice, it would be… stick to the city centre!

The main nightlife area in Bath is in its heart, which is great because all the bars and clubs are within walking distance of each other.

This also means that the closer your Bath hen accommodation is to the city centre, the closer you’ll be to the party! 😉

Where To Party in Bath

Milsom Street & George Street

These two perpendicular streets form the ultimate nightlife hotspot in Bath.

Their crossover point is where the city’s best bars meet the city’s best clubs.

Kingsmead Square

Kingsmead Square is perhaps our favourite area (but not just because we’re based there). With city classics like Pieminister, Komedia, and The Dark Horse nestled there, you’ll be spoiled for choice on where you want to party.

SouthGate

This is Bath’s main shopping area which transforms into a lively nightlife hotspot after dark. It’s bustling with eateries like The Cosy Club, cocktail bars like Juno and nightclubs like Second Bridge.

Bath Train Station

Whilst this area technically counts towards SouthGate, it’s got its own character and charm, so we had to give it its own moment.

With popular spots like Be At One nestled there, you can sort out the whole party the moment you hop off the train.

Karaoke Night

Bath offers a wide selection of karaoke experiences which will guarantee you a hilarious night.

You can hire a private pod and rock the mic like it owes you money or take to the stage and belt out your favourite hits in front of an audience.

Gin Distillery & Tasting Tour

What makes this activity so popular is that it takes place in Bath’s oldest gin distillery and independent gin bar. You’ll learn more about the infusion processes that make the juniper drink so tempting before heading over to the bar to sample some unique flavours.

What To Wear on a Night Out in Bath?

Unless you’re headed to the more student-popular venues, dressing smart casual is the way to go.

Avoid wearing any hen party attire like sashes as you might not be allowed in some of the more elegant venues (like Vino Vino, and The Bath Gin Bar) which are a must-visit on a bar crawl in Bath.

And unless you’re going on a night out on or around Halloween, we’d advise against wearing fancy dress either.

How To Stay Safe on a Night Out in Bath

Whilst the city’s been voted as one of the safest in the country (by the University of Bath) there still are some measures you can take for the ultimate peace of mind.

❌ Don’t wear headphones or noise-cancelling earplugs when walking in the dark.

❌ Avoid walking along the river at night as many areas are not well-lit.

❌ Never leave your drink unsupervised.

✔Drink in moderation.

✔ Walk together as a group.

✔ Call a taxi if it’s late.
