GoHen Go to Benidorm

by

What makes GoHen’s Destination Specialists, specialists, is that we send them to those destinations and let them loose, so they can find exactly what makes the place so special for a party.

So, equally hungry for knowledge and tapas, Simon took off to sunny Benidorm to gather all the tips needed for planning the perfect Benidorm hen do.

Read them all below 👇

The Things You NEED to Know… 👀

  • A pint of beer costs just €2.50 and many bars offer a free round of shots!
  • A private transfer from the airport to the centre takes about half an hour (GoHen can arrange it for you!)
  • You can walk to most areas and it’s very easy to get around.

How Was it Getting to Benidorm? ✈️

Benidorm and its skyscrapers

“I took a flight from Bristol Airport which was only 2.5 hours.

“It was a very chill journey, and I knew that I had arrived the moment all the high rises appeared out of nowhere.

“I got a private transfer from the airport to the centre which GoHen organised, and I would do it again.

“You can get a coach, but the trip would take longer as they stop at hotels to drop off tourists on the way.”

What Were Your First Impressions? 💭

“I landed at around 17:45 and was immediately struck by how busy the streets were.

“Everyone was out having a good time out in the sun, and oh yeah, the weather was just perfect.”

Tell Us About the Food and Booze! 🍔🍹

“Benidorm won’t leave you hungry or thirsty, that’s for sure!

“The central areas are packed with bars and restaurants that have something for every craving, not just tapas and chips.

“Many bars tend to offer a free shot on arrival so don’t forget to ask if they don’t!”

Breakfast Options… 🥞

“My two favourite spots were Aromas British Café which does a mean full English and boasts amazing sea views.

The Brunch Box was another spot I enjoyed. They serve sweet treats and desserts and also have some great cocktails.”

  • Aromas British Café – Avinguda Alcoi, 2, 03503 Benidorm
  • The Brunch Box – Av. Del Mediterráneo, 47, 03503, Benidorm

Best Bars in Benidorm… 🥂

“If you want a more chilled experience, head over to places like Le Mejillonera, La Bahia and Llum del Mar.

“If you want somewhere to kick-start the party, Tiki Beach was the best in my opinion because of the lively atmosphere, the upbeat music, and the awesome drinks.

“And if you like the TV show “Benidorm”, don’t miss out on Morgan Tavern which you might recognise as “Neptune’s” in the series.”

  • Tiki Beach – Av. De Madrid, 14, 03503 Benidorm
  • Morgan Tavern – C.Gerona, 42, 03503 Benidorm
  • Le Mejillonera – Pg. de la Carretera, 16, 03501 Benidorm
  • Llum del Mar – Plaça de Sant Jaume, 1, 03500 Benidorm
  • La Bahia – Av. De Madrid, 19, 03505 Benidorm

How Easy Was It to Get Around? 🚕

“It was very easy. I walked most of the time, but I could also rent an e-scooter to get to places quicker, as I saw other people do.

“If your accommodation is on the other side of the city, or you need to go to the outskirts to take on a Benidorm hen activity, you can do so by catching a taxi.”

Where’s the Best Place to Stay? 🏨

Benidorm Hotel Marina

“My accommodation was Hotel Marina which is right in the city centre.

“It’s a 4-star hotel with great rooms, two bars and a swimming pool area with sun beds and parasols, perfect for sipping a drink and working on your tan.

“It’s located right in front of Broadway and The Queen’s Arms which are two awesome bars that also are the perfect starting point to your night out.

“One thing to consider when staying here is the behavioural deposit of €150 per guest which will be refunded to you after you check out.”

  • Broadway – C. Gerona, 32, 03503, Benidorm
  • The Queen’s Arms – C. Gerona, 27, 03503, Benidorm

Your Favourite Benidorm Activity? 🏁

Benidorm go karting

“I tried outdoor go karting which is actually very popular in Benidorm, and I really enjoyed it.

“The track is just the right amount of challenging (not too hard but not too easy either) and it took me 1 minute 2 seconds to finish each lap.

“I highly recommend it for groups as you can get competitive and set prizes and forfeits for the winning/losing hens.

“Another added bonus is that transfers to and from the venue are included so you won’t have to worry about arranging those and can just focus on the fun.”

Any Final Thoughts?

“The nightlife in Benidorm is second-to-none and the drinks are fantastic and cheap… It might just be the best place ever!”
