- If you’re looking for a shopping spree, Victoria Shopping Centre has all the designer shops you could ask for.
- If you’re looking for a quick bite, Merrion Street is packed with cute cafés.
Getting There 🚆
- Car – Leeds is easily accessible from the M621 and there are three Park & Ride facilities across the city where you can leave your car and explore.
- Train – Leeds Train Station is on New Station Street (LS1 4DY) and it’s directly in the city centre which is great if you want to grab a drink after the journey.
“Be aware that as with any big city, driving in the city centre can take time and nerves.
“The closer you park to the city centre, the pricier that would be, so it’s a good idea to share a car and split the costs, or just take the train and you won’t have to worry about it!”
What Were Your First Impressions? 💭
“From the quirky bars to the beautiful shopping centres, our first thought was that one weekend is not enough to try everything!
“It’s a very big city, so you can do two things to prepare:
1) Plan out what you want to do beforehand
2) Wear comfy shoes as you’ll be walking a lot!”
What Was Your Accommodation? 🏨
“We wanted something more than a hotel, so we chose Roomzzz Leeds City West which offers a range of self-catering apartments.
“Ours was so spacious and boasted everything we could possibly need – comfy beds, an en-suite shower room, a kitchenette, a sofa, a TV, and a dining table.
“We also had grab-and-go breakfast which made our stay ten times better!
“This is where you pick up your morning coffee (from the 24/7 FREE coffee machine) and croissant on your way to the party.
“The aparthotel is approx. a five-minute Uber ride away from the main party areas, so make sure you arrange transport if you’re not keen on walking for 20 minutes.”
How Easy Was It to Get Around? 🚕
“There’s always a taxi waiting somewhere along the street, so we never had any issues.
“It seemed that everything was just a short ride away, which was great considering that we didn’t want to waste any valuable party time on the bus or walking for 20 minutes between bars.”
What is an Activity You Must Try in Leeds? 🏁
“Go Karting is an awesome activity, especially for the hens in the group who like a bit of friendly competition!
“The site and staff are great fun and will help you have the best time possible.
“After the session, we had loads of energy and were ready to celebrate our victories with a toast!”
The Best Spots to Eat & Drink in Leeds 🍸🍕
“What makes Leeds great is that you will not be short of options on where to grab a drink and a bite.
“Here is what we were able to do with 25 minutes of walking:
- Start from Merrion Street which has many spots offering happy hours and other drink deals.
- Continue to Greek Street (a 10-minute walk away from Merrion St) where you’ll find all the cocktail bars you’ve ever dreamed of.
- Go down to Trinity Kitchen (a 5-minute walk away from Greek St) which is a dining hall nestled in a shopping centre so you can also get a dose of shopping.
- Finish in Call Lane (a 7-minute walk from Trinity Kitchen) which has some of the best nightlife we’ve ever seen!
