Manchester is one of the biggest – and greatest – party cities in the UK.
And as much as we love Bath, sometimes some of our party spirits just can’t be contained.
Yes, we are looking at you, Sophie. 👀
As the UK’s leading hen party planners, we know that a Manchester hen do is totally worth it.
So when Sophie told us she was heading up there for a weekend, we immediately knew she’d have a fab time!
Now she’s back and ready to spill the tea ☕
The Things You Need to Know…
- Peter Street is great for foodies
- Deansgate is the place to head for a night out
- Tib Street is where you need to go for a bite
Getting There
I drove up from Bath on Thursday evening and got there within 3 hours!
It was a nice drive, and the accommodation was very easy to find.
Two of my friends (we were a group of five) got the train which they said was super simple, and they then took a short walk to the accommodation.
What Were Your First Impressions?
Manchester is a fun and vibrant city, and you can tell this from just walking and driving around.

Lots of the shop and restaurant windows have neon lights which give the skyline a cool glow at night.
It’s a city that is always bustling with people walking around and having a good time.
What Was Your Accommodation?
We were very lucky and stayed in The Rooftop Townhouse. This house was HUGE!
It spanned over 4 floors, an incredible cosy lounge with a massive TV, and a fabulous open-plan kitchen with a long bench table perfect for big groups.
Then to top that off – there was a rooftop jacuzzi with outdoor seating!

The house was modern throughout and came with everything we needed for the weekend – plenty of towels, coffee, tea, cutlery and dishes, and also a make-up/getting dressed area!
We felt like queens for the weekend!
The accommodation was incredibly easy to get to – it was on the main road, and after 8 pm until 8 am you can park right outside for free.
There is a car park, Cable Street, right around the corner (1 minute to be exact) where you can park your car for a small charge a day.
Getting Around The City
There are SO many ways to get around Manchester: walk, taxi/uber, drive, tram & e-scooters.
When wanting to get into the city during the day, we walked pretty much everywhere. It was roughly 15-20 minutes depending on where we were going and was such a lovely walk through the streets and cafes.
At nighttime, we decided to get Ubers which worked out incredibly cheap when split between us, and it was only a 10/15-minute drive.
OUR MANCHESTER PARTY ITINERARY
FRIDAY
Cocktail Mixing
📍Revolution, Arkwright House, Parsonage Gardens, Manchester M3 2LF
We started off our weekend with Cocktail Mixing at Revs.
Honestly, this is some of the most fun we have had together, and we have our mixologist to thank for that. He was nothing short of fabulous and had us giggling throughout the whole masterclass.

Each of us had a welcome drink, 3 cocktails, many shots (including penalty chilli shots if we spilt anything, which we did…) and nachos! The cocktails were absolutely delicious, and there was such a good selection for us to choose from.
We played a couple of games, one being blind bartenders where one of us was blindfolded and the partner had to guide them through making a drink. It was all hilarious.
Manahatta
📍188-192 Deansgate, Manchester M3 3ND
After the class, we strolled over to Manahatta for drinks. They served us so incredibly well; we were given a VIP table, and our bottles came with sparklers!

The staff were so kind and kept checking on us to see if we needed anything.
The music was great, we had a little boogie whilst having our drinks and the vibe of the place was just amazing!
Popworld
📍 5 Whitworth St W, Manchester M1 5LH
Now, I don’t know about you, but my group and I absolutely LOVE a cheesy tune!

We were shown to our VIP booth, and our drinks were also brought with sparklers.
We had funky straws, heart-shaped glasses to wear, fun fans, wristbands, blow-up microphones and balloons. We spent the night boogieing on the multi-coloured dance floor and singing away!
SATURDAY
Shopping
📍Deansgate, M1 1AD
On Saturday morning we just spent the day strolling around the city.
We grabbed some hot drinks and snacks to walk around with and went to Zara, Uniqlo, and more.
They honestly had so many shops and we are a group that likes to shop until we drop!
Buff Bingo Drag Bottomless Brunch
Well, this was an experience, to say the least.
The drag queens started off the experience with some hilarious tunes and they brought all the vibes!! After that we each had a burger and fries, and also some nachos to share.

The bottomless drinks were then served, and you could choose either Prosecco or two different cocktails.
The butlers were very attentive with the drinks, you hadn’t even taken a sip before they were topping you up again!
The bingo was great fun – not that we won anything, but it was still a laugh. The girlies that did win won a saucy lap dance with the cheeky butlers.
Alcotraz Prison Cocktail Experience
📍 1A Watson St, Manchester M3 4EE
WOW!!! If you haven’t got this on your itinerary, you really need to get it booked. This is an activity we will definitely be doing again in different cities.
It’s such a unique experience and it’s another one we were absolutely cackling through. The wardens and guards were just hilarious, too!

The cocktails are amazing – they ask what type of flavours you like and create the most incredible concoctions.
During our time there, there were three mini-shows, explaining how the warden came to power – it was so engaging and comical too.
Tip: What is also great, is that in most parts of the experience you can take pictures and videos, meaning you can look back at those memories over and over again. 🤩
SUNDAY
Sunday Brunch
📍 Evelyn’s, 44 Tib St, Manchester M4 1LA
On Sunday morning before heading back to our homes, we decided to head out for Sunday Brunch. I was recommended Evelyn’s Neighbourhood Cafe Kitchen & Bar – so of course, I booked a table there.

This place was a 5-minute walk from our accommodation along a lovely quaint street, and the interior was just our kind of thing! Wooden chairs and tables, chalkboards, plants hanging from the ceilings, and just a general wholesome and cosy vibe. 😍
The food and drinks were delicious – we chose smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, tasty fancy chicken burgers, and a coffee each.
Their menu had lots to choose from so there was something for everyone! I’d definitely recommend this for any group.
