Liverpool Nightlife Districts

Liverpool is a massive city and as such it boasts massive nights out.

Whilst you’ll have plenty to do and plenty to party in the city centre, it’s not a bad idea to check out the neighbouring nightlife districts if you want to make the most out of the city.

Albert Dock

Albert Dock is the vibrant area around the harbourside and as such it offers some stunning photo ops and alfresco terraces overlooking the canal. It’s the perfect place to start the night with a bite and a drink before heading over to the clubs.

Concert Square

This vibrant square is like a ‘best of’ compilation- the best bars in Liverpool are gathered there and waiting to be checked out.

Mathew Street

Mathew Street is the soul of the city. With some amazing finds like The Cavern Club and Flares nestled on the opposite side of the street from each other, it’s no wonder that Mathew Street made a name for itself as the city’s top nightlife hotspot.

The Baltic Triangle

This is where you can head if you just want to go with the flow! The spot is beaming with distilleries, and cool and quirky venues that are ready to welcome you in. This is also where you’ll find Oktoberfest in autumn, the Christmas market in winter, and live music all year round!

This is an interactive experience that will transfer you to the Wild West of the Merseyside. You’ll be given the appropriate cowgirl attire so you don’t catch the eye of the Sheriff and enjoy the theatrical storyline.

Liverpool nightlife advice dress code

We always recommend dressing smart casual when you’re going on a night out no matter which city you’re heading to.

However, Liverpool is a bit of an exception because it’s so packed with hen-friendly venues that know what to expect.

After all, if you’re heading to Liverpool, you’re in for a wild night out, so dress to impress!

How To Stay Safe on a Night Out in Liverpool

Women outside a convenience store

Let’s face it: Most clubs in Liverpool close at around 4 am and if the bride-to-be’s the party animal they claim they are, then you’ll be throwing shapes until 3:59 am.

So unless your Liverpool hen accommodation is right around the corner, we recommend calling a taxi or an Uber.

This could be trickier if you’re a bigger group (of 20+) as you’ll have to order multiple taxis, in which case we recommend getting the train or the night bus.

Tips on Getting Around Liverpool at Night

Taxi: This one’s the go-to choice when making your way on a night out in Liverpool.

Night Bus: The bus network is very reliable at night, especially because there’s less traffic and the prices are fixed. It’s also very convenient because the bus service covers all corners of the city!
