Getting Around Cambridge

The centre of Cambridge is traffic-free and pedestrian-friendly, making it very pleasant to navigate on foot. It's also an iconic place to cycle, so make like the locals and tour the city on bike and have a whole lot of fun with the chi chi cycling crowd of Cambridge city centre. Unless you're staying on the outskirts of town, buses, trains or taxis should not prove necessary, but if you do need them, local services are cheap at £1-2. The council discourages cars, so if you don't fancy braving drizzle weather or towering high heels, hop in a local taxi.
